Trust in the Physical World

Our Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Sebastian Pattinson, spoke at "Scaling Trust to Our Physical Reality". This was an event hosted by the Society for Technological Advancement (SoTA) in partnership with the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA).

The evening brought together researchers working at the frontier of multi-agent systems, how autonomous systems navigate, negotiate, and enforce agreements as they move from purely digital environments into the physical world. Sebastian shared a talk and live demo alongside Alex Obadia, ARIA's Programme Director and Co-founder of Flashbots, and other researchers working on trust and security in embodied AI.

Why This Matters for Manufacturing

It's a natural extension of what we think about daily at Matta: as factories become more autonomous, machines adjusting their own parameters, AI agents making real-time decisions on the line, the question of how you verify and trust those decisions becomes just as important as the AI's raw capability. We were glad to have Sebastian in the room helping shape that conversation.
